Tyddyn Môn was founded by the parents of adults with learning difficulties who wanted a more constructive and rewarding occupation for their sons and daughters. Well, it doesn't get much more constructive or rewarding than rebuilding an entirely derelict smallholding and creating, developing and running a successful family tourist attraction for over 2 decades!
Tyddyn Môn continues to provide day care, training and support for adults with learning difficulties, all of whom contribute to the development and running of the farm and its attractions. To date, the achievements of the team here have included:
Draining, fencing and feeding the land
Renovating the derelict buildings
Planting over 2,000 trees!
Acquiring, housing and looking after the farm animals
Tyddyn Môn is all about having a great time, in the natural environment of a working
